Google Penguin Algorithm After Many Panda Updates
Its time to welcome Google penguin algorithm and its update to fight webspam. Google web spam team released penguin algorithm after working on panda updates. And this update forced to cry many of top ranking websites at initial stage. Most of websites are penalized for keyword stuffing to get rank in first page to highlight and more visibility on search engine.

Previous one year Google panda was watching continuously them all black seo tricks and somewhere in between it gave many hints by panda updates for websites those were involved in black hat seo.
Google panda was not affecting as Penguin one update ruined them all black hatters tricks. The penguin emperor come to town.
Panda just decreased minor website ranking in search results but penguin algorithm one update hits hard even best known websites those involved in keyword stuffing and finally they all penalized.
This update produce its results and many of websites are disappeared from Google search overnight those were ranked in first page by only keyword stuffing.
How To Avoid Google Penguin Few Tips:
- Keyword stuffing that may be main focused in its first update of penguin algorithm to reduce webspam. Do not put or repeat again and again keywords and only keywords in title and description.
- Do not over optimize, webmasters use repeat keywords that create words and phrase stuffing and all that black hat SEO tricks those are not acceptable and Google love to penalized for over optimization.
- Make sensible title that looks for human readable not for machine.
- Use simple words people do not use and search industry jargon as wrote in googlewebmaster blog.
- Avoid unnatural links e.g participation in link exchange program, traffic exchange etc.
- Do not publish spun content or article spinning, it could be raise plagiarism issue anytime that will be dangerous for your blog.
- Guest post, Well guest posting is a white hat seo but we can’t ignore if spun content used without your knowledge.
- Too much affiliate links that does not have nothing information just only affiliate related content.
- Avoid hidden text and links those used for special purpose for search engine only.

Update: People are talking on forums, recently there website traffic goes down again within 24 hrs on May 14th after first penguin update but Google deny for any penguin refresh. See article at seroundtable
Google penguin refresh and 1.1 update:
After releasing penguin algorithm on 24 April. Google refresh new update after one month that refresh only 0.01% search as tweeted by Matt cutt on 25 May. With this refresh one of most affected site WPMU.org which is dropped 81% traffic according to seomoz.org now recovered after first Google penguin update.

Hidden text, those are not visible.
My site is badly affected, however I try to follow webmaster guidelines. Panda also made my site affected but after few days, it ranked very well. I am awaiting as I don’t know what should I do now
Hi sam, Site looks pretty Good. I think you need to add blog to your site and do post something like tips or related free stuff to your visitors so that they come again and again to check what you are offering to them.

Can’t believe how many adverts and how much content there and it’s on page one, penguin has been a total failure, still too much crap on first few pages!
Banners those linked to internal posts can’t harm website. Making site attractive is not issue with Google. Website design helps you back.
This is the major change of Google, however, if we look at opportunity, we will see that some of the big site also being hit hard by this shift and so it is our great chance to build quality site, use white hat SEO and marketing to dominate the keyword which seem to be impossible in the past.

I have an article directory website, the content is published by users, i’m sure many are duplicate, as much as possible i try to avoid approving articles which were already previously published on other sites, so i definitely have issues. But something “strange” happen today, strange for me (i’m not really a good seo person), anyway someone requested me to remove, the links which pointed to his website? Why would someone want to do this?

I believe that Google is looking to reward positive (read unique and engaging content) over backlinked content. However i see that the trend is different depending on what part of the globe you are from.
Our company based in NZ have dealt with several companies who were penalised in the penguin update. 3 were for keyword stuffing, the other had their links removed. Tellingly the backlink problem was from .co.uk tlds.
It seems that across Australasia the online industry it us filled with ‘keyword = good’ amateur webmasters. This has lead to poor quality sites and results, which makes justifying the good work SEO professionals do, that much harder.
I hope that this update scares the “keyword = good’ mentality out of the industry, but im fearful for all those companies who have no idea about the ongoing management of their site and the penguin effects that they havent even noticed yet.
In terms of black hat backlinkers, i applaude Googles efforts to fix the issue!

I notice that many relevant search results have disappeared from Google’s index after Penguin. For example, if I want to resolve a technical problem and I ask Google questions about it, it’s much more difficult to find a solution. The professional blogs and sites providing good answers to my question, are buried far away in the search results. This simply isn’t good. Great tips ahead. Google penguin is good after all it fight against webspam and penguin did it very well but the worst thing that Google penguin done is that many sites have been destroyed even if it is not a spam. Glad to know those tips above.
